Fresh Prep is Western Canada’s homegrown meal kit delivery service. We help people throughout B.C. make world-class dinners with fresh, pre-cut and pre-portioned ingredients along with an extended menu of over 100 add-ons from local suppliers delivered weekly to your door.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and direct dispatch and delivery processes and process improvements.
  • Write and enforce standard operating procedures for dispatch and delivery processes.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics around delivery performance, including on-time, redelivery rate, fail rate, and error rate.
  • Communicate with and schedule external vendors and third party logistics providers with an eye to managing costs.
  • Manage courier/carrier implementations and establish service level agreements to ensure services are delivered as promised.
  • Conduct profit and loss management for the company's logistics function; manage logistics budget.
  • Regularly review performance expectations with dispatch team.
  • Organize staff training, development, and performance reviews.
  • Communicate and enforce the organization’s safety policies in accordance with applicable federal safety standards and local laws.
  • Conduct fleet management on company vehicles as necessary.
  • Schedule drivers and dispatch team, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage.
  • Communicate and follow up on hiring needs with HR or administration staff.

What We Are Looking For

  • You are an experienced, knowledgeable, motivated and career-minded Delivery Logistics Manager to handle the the day-to-day operations of the delivery logistics department as they relate to dispatch and shipping. Other duties include developing the weekly schedule for full-time employee, contractor, and subcontractor drivers and dispatchers; executing policy; contributing toward cross-functional projects; people management of the dispatch team; and ensuring safety requirements are properly followed. In addition, this position manages performance toward delivery KPIs, and manages the internal fleet.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree; preferred if it is in logistics, business, or a related field.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are able to communicate in a professional manner with all levels of the organization, and in a friendly and professional manner with a diverse roster of drivers.
  • You have 3 years of direct work experience in a logistics and/or transport function, or supply chain management.
  • You have 2 years of direct work experience in an operations or facility management capacity.
  • You’ve worked in a supervisory role for 2 or more years.
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you may be required to pivot directions quickly and multitask in times of chaos.
  • You’re tech savvy with a good command of email, spreadsheets, and Slack with an ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Due to our diverse roster of drivers, a second language is an asset, but is by no means required.
