To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and hands on Inside Sales Representative to join our West Edmonton team. This is a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability and specifications
  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures
  • Accurately process a large number of customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Fill requests for product catalogues, information or samples
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any potential customer issues
  • Processing of debit and credit payments
  • General clerical tasks including, but not limited to intercompany product requests and associated documentation

The ideal candidate ideally should:

  • Minimum 5 years inside sales experience preferably in the steel industry and/or a post-secondary accreditation in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing
  • B2B sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Be willing to train in a high paced, exciting, and challenging environment
  • Have superior communication skills including telephone aptitude, ability to interface with customers, suppliers and outside sales people
  • Have proven computer keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with others
  • Be energetic and outgoing
  • Be proficient with numbers, computer literate and familiar with MS Office Suite

Experience:

·         Inside Sales: Minimum 5 year in the steel industry and/or post-secondary accreditation in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing

License/Certification:
