The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is a dynamic charity dedicated to strengthening the foundations of communities by offering opportunities for personal growth, community involvement and leadership. We have been offering programs and services to the North Bay community since 1958 and to the Greater Sudbury community since 1936! We are currently looking for YMCA Community Action Network (YCAN) Volunteers. These volunteer positions are housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Durham Street location in Sudbury. YCAN volunteers work together as a group to design and execute a service project that helps their community. A project generally takes 3-4 months to complete. Volunteers are required to be 15 years of age and older (turning 15 within the calendar year).

START DATE: As soon as possible             


HOURS: 1-2 per week

  • Backpack drive for vulnerably housed
  • Creating a community garden
  • Hosting a wellness day


This program is funded by Canadian Service Corps
